Shipping Process and Timing

Hello Backers!

Some good news and information on shipping..

The labels arrived on time and look good! They also seem durable and sticky enough that we won't need to put glue over the tops of them, this will be a huge timesaver.

I am starting final assembly on the healing potion jars that Dusty has completed. This mainly involves sticking the labels on, plus cleaning up any residual glue on the glass from the knots on the strings etc.

Here's a handful of the first jars off the 'production line'.. :)

Bottom line, this means we will start shipping on or before August 1 as expected!

When I say start shipping, that doesn't mean everyone's orders will be shipped this week. Here's how it will work:

I will be doing an inventory tonight of how many jars are done and ready to ship. The alternative colored jars should all be ready, and we have dice and bags of potion holding in hand. Once I know how much inventory we have, I will match it to the orders we have, starting with the earliest backers.

The cards for those orders will be charged for shipping and add-on items. If it cannot be charged, because the survey wasn't filled out, or some other problem, we'll move on to the next order and push the failed order to the next shipment.

For the orders that are successfully charged, I will then lock the shipping addresses. If you are on that list, you'll get an email letting you know that you have 48 hours to make any final changes to your shipping information. In the meantime, I will be boxing orders and getting them ready to ship. I am waiting on some shipping materials to show up (they should be here tomorrow) and need to do some work to figure out the best way of packing each order size (single jars, complete sets and dozens) but I expect to have a number of orders ready to go by Tuesday night.

Once the 48 hours is complete, I will print the shipping labels, tape up the boxes and drop them off at the post office (or at the alternative shipper for overseas orders). I will then load the tracking numbers to Backerkit and you should be able to track your shipment from there (at least as much as USPS or the carrier we're using allows).

We'll be doing a full-court press to get the rest complete. The shipping process will be repeated once a week (or more often as I am able) as new jars are completed until we are completely done fulfilling orders.
If you need to change your address, it may make sense to do it now on Backerkit.

I will post updates here as shipments go out.

As of right now, Saturday, July 27 we have shipped 0 of 423 orders.  Can't wait for that number to change! :)

Lastly - if you know anyone who would like to get these and wasn't able to participate in the Kickstarter, the pre-order page is still up. We'll be revamping the DmDunn.com website once we're done fulfilling orders and you'll be able to get them there as well.

Thank you all so much again for backing the project! Dusty and I are really looking forward to getting these into your hands!

Shipping?

Tyler asked if we are expecting to ship after the estimated August date.

We have some items tracking to be received in the next few days. I needed to replace the yellow pigment with a new batch and the improved labels are in shipment status. As long as these arrive on time, we are looking good to ship our first orders on August 1st. Yay! Thanks to all of your fantastic support, we have a lot more orders than originally expected. Our goal though is to do our best to get most, if not all orders shipped by the end of August, our (original goal).

I was recently informed that a Kickstarter I supported is delayed at least 6 months. I know the disappointment and will do what I can to avoid any of you feeling the same way with this project. We are thankful and appreciative of each and every one of you and will do our best to fulfill and deliver on your expectations.

Starting to work on alternate colors so we can start shipping by our August goal.

Blues are done!

Still need labels and to create a bunch more jars.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Guess what I’m working on.

Wiping out some bottles, preparing for resin. Thank you for your patience. Every single bottle gets special attention and love from me.
